Kushti Returns to Shine at Khel Mahakumbh

One of India’s oldest and most celebrated sports, Kushti (wrestling) represents grit, endurance, and honor. At Khel Mahakumbh, we aim to honor this heritage by hosting a grand wrestling competition to unearth new champions.

Weight Categories

Junior Boys: <> kg, and Open Category

Junior Girls: <> kg, and Open Category

Senior Men: <>kg, and Open Category

Senior Women: <>kg, and Open Category

Prize Details:

Junior Category: ₹25,000/-

Senior Category: ₹51,000/-

Competition Format

1.Individual Event: Wrestlers from all states and UTs are welcome.

2.Matches will follow traditional Kushti rules with single-elimination format.

3.Each bout will last 6 minutes (3 minutes per round) with a 1-minute break.

8 & 9 February 2025

Rules & Regulations

Wrestlers must wear proper attire (langot or wrestling singlet).

Matches will be conducted on traditional mud or synthetic mats.

Wrestlers must adhere to the weight category they register for.

All participants must undergo a medical fitness test before competing.
